MHI – Q: Can I sign up online for SSA and Medicare?

A: You can sign up online for your Social Security retirement and Medicare benefits. You can sign up for both at the same time or you can sign up separately. That’s a good thing since Medicare eligibility is still 65 and the age at which you can accept full Social Security retirement benefits is between 66 and 67 years old. The whole process should take about 15 minutes on www.ssa.gov.
